Discover Your Best Self. Our fitness classes help you get in better shape through exercise in a group environment or privately. We can book yoga, pilates, body sculpt and more for your private group or for weekly classes at your property.

Pilates Exercise

MAT PILATES

This mat Pilates class will incorporate all the key principles of Pilates such as postural alignment, breathing, strength, controlled movement and flexibility. When it's just you and your mat you learn how to focus on your unique body, listening to it's messages, and trusting what you hear to gain confidence in how best to move. Specific cueing guides you to feel the perfect balance of challenge while deepening your mind-body connection through breath and ease of movement.

BARRE

Barre is a low impact total body workout that brings amazing benefits for your body, mind, and soul.  The unique combination of high-energy strengthening and stretching results in a strong, lean, flexible and balanced body.  It fuses Pilates, Yoga and interval conditioning into one calorie torching workout by using isometric and focused movements to effectively target specific problem areas like the glutes, abdomen, arms, and thighs.

BODY SCULPT

Body sculpting, also called weight training, resistance training or strength training, is a form of exercise which uses external weight or resistance or your own body weight to stress the muscles. The end result is newly toned or sculpted muscles. Body sculpting can help you get in shape, tone the body and lose weight.

With tons of versatility, a wide variety of exercises can be done on the reformer to promote length, strength, flexibility, and balance.

What is Yoga? Yoga is a physical, mental, and spiritual practice that originated in Ancient India. There are many types of yoga, however most of the yoga disciplines taught in the US stem from hatha yoga, a tradition which focuses on aligning our body and breath through a series of poses. At DH our instructors teach a wide range of hatha classes. Read below to see which classes may be right for you.

Practicing Yoga

VINYASA YOGA

Vinyasa yoga connects postures together with rhythmic breathing, so that you move from one to another seamlessly, building heat through a body-mind workout. These courses are dynamic in nature and emphasize movement and connection. If you're new to yoga, it may be a good idea to take a few classes in a slower style of yoga first to get a feel for the poses.

Like vinyasa, slow flow is about connection and movement. However, in these classes you will practice about half the number of poses you might practice in a vinyasa class. The pace is meditative, emphasizing peace and calm in body and mind. You hold poses longer, taking several rounds of breath in each pose, instead of moving to each breath.

THERAPEUTIC YOGA

These yoga classes focus on activating, engaging, and releasing targeted areas of the body. They seek small, gradual changes in the body and are ideal for those wanting to better understand body mechanics, address injuries, or improve performance. This practice cultivates curiosity and reflection and has a greater focus on alignment, strength, length, and breath. These styles often make use of props such as belts, blocks, and blankets, as aids minimize the risk of injury and intensify specific movements.

Gentle classes focus on poses which are common to all yoga disciplines, helping you increase your alignment and understanding of each pose as you move gradually throughout the class. Though there is some active engagement and stretching, these classes are more concerned with cultivating deep relaxation and make use of props such as bolsters, pillows, and straps. These classes can be great options for people who are new to yoga.

Aerial yoga combines traditional asana and yoga philosophies with silk fabric suspended from the ceiling to add in aerial arts and unique support.
